Hi,
I have an OpenOffice problem that is driving me buggy. I apologize if
it is one that has been dealt with before on this list.
We have 2 iBook G4's running OS 10.4.4. One had X11 installed and
when OpenOffice 2.0 was installed it works just fine.
The other did not have X11, but when I try to install X11 from the
system disks, etc., I am told that there is a newer version of the
program on the system and X11 cannot be installed. I cannot find any
X11 on that computer, so I assume that there is some kind of X11
incorporated into something, I know not what.
Does anybody have any ideas about how to get OpenOffice to work on
this mac. I have tried running a Terminal program that was on the
support site to remove all vestiges of X11, which seemed to remove a
lot of things, but X11 is still blocked from installing.
Any suggestions are gratefully accepted.
