I am on OSX and I do sometimes unix based tricks but I am not super
familiar with them.
As for unpacking etc, I used the scripts on:

I'd love to see your script and if you agree, post it on the

since it would be really useful to create bilingual translation
memory files from preexisting translations in OD format.
We already have a perl aligner that puts bilingual text info together
to create TMX files.
