INDIRECT("C2:"& ...)
Or, if you want a real cell reference that's updated when cells are
moved, and don't mind an ugly formula,
INDIRECT(ADDRESS(ROW($C$2);COLUMN($C$2))&":"& ...) or
INDIRECT(CELL("ADDRESS";$C$2)&":"& ...)
Have you ever succeeded to use this method in another formula?
