You will find it in the program directory from where you can drag and
drop on to the desktop and make shortcut. (I'm presuming MS Windows XP
here!)
Local disk... Program Files... OpenOffice.org... Program. (or some
similar pathway).
There is also a quickstarter for the Task Bar.
Tools... Options... Openoffice.org... Memory
