Sorry. You're right, I've made a mistake in my instructions.
The next make use of a frame:
- set the page style to landscape
- insert header (Insert|Header|...)
- with cursor in header: insert text frame (Insert|Frame)
- drag the frame to the position, resize etc.
- insert page-number (Insert|Fields|Page number)
- select the page-number
- choose Format|Character and change rotation to 270 degr.
Pls post if something is nog clear (or maybe wrong :-/ )

Your solution is indeed more elegant than mine. So the frame is
automatically replicated with every header in that style. Neat!
