Hello all,
Does anyone know how to repeat a form field in an OOo XForm when
loading a particular instance?
For instance, I have instance data which has multiple (could be from
1 to n although typically n<200) <question> elements and each one
would be rendered within its own multiline text control.
thanks for suggestions,
Hi Matthew,
The <repeat> option is one of the features of XForms that is not
currently
implemented in the OOo software, to my knowledge. I am sure it will be
in there in the future, but not available currently.

Thanks Jonathon.
That's what it looks like to me as well. I just wanted another
perspective in case I missed something -- documentation on the XForms
stuff is rather sparse at this point seems like (although Mr. Singleton
has a good tutorial step-by-step in the 2.0 User Guide to create a basic
xform).
I look forward to future versions -- seems quite promising.
In the meantime, I suppose I'll write a macro to do it or something....
Peace to you,
Matthew
P.S. -- Btw, Gleim Publications, Inc. <http://www.gleim.com> switched
completely to OOo from WP and MSO, wow has it been?, about three years
ago now and hasn't looked back. There were some misgivings at first
from some corners, but seems like WP and MSO were merely encumbrances to
progress here since after a while documents were no longer readable in
new versions, licensing was a headache, etc., etc. I, for one,
certainly hope the odf can survive the almost certain coming chicanery
from MS to marginalize or minimalize OOo and the odf, because I believe
in document formats and government operations in the sunshine.
