Hi all,
1. Download AU dictionary via File > Wizards > Install New Dictionary.
2. Restarted OOo as it mentioned.
3. Went in and configured the Language > Writer Aids to enable the
the AU language.
4. (Seemed we had to restart here for it to take affect for some reason?)
5. Updated the default paragraph style to reflect AU English
6. Saved as default template
Actually step 3 should not be necessary, since after a restart
all additionally found languages packs are enabled by default
All working - standard spellcheck, auto-spellcheck all worked fine.
I suggest a step 5a:
Update the default character style to reflect AU English.
There is a bug in the interface here. Right clicking the "Default"
character style provides only "New..." as an option, not "New..." and
"Modify...", but selecting "New..." actually brings up the "Modify..."
dialog box. Changing the default language here cascades to the other
character styles.
Also step 5 shouzld not be necessary.
Instead you have to open the dialog "Tools/Options - Language Settings -
Languages". In this dialog you can change the default document language.
And unless someone manually changes the style settings the language used
in styles is always the one defined in this dialog.
Regards,
Thomas
