G'day everyone
I have heard that it is possible to save an MS Word document in OOo format even if it contains a VB macro, and that the macro will remain intact, and that when that OOo document is resaved as MS Word again, the macro will still work (in MS Word). Is this true?
If so, isn't it theoretically possible to embed a VB macro in an OOo document (by unzipping it and fiddling with content.xml or some of the other files), and then resave it as MS Word, so that the client can just execute the macro on his machine? I'm asking because I'm dealing with documents with highly complex structures which are difficult to get right in OOo, but are very easy to "fix" with a simple macro in MS Word, but I don't want to place the burden on the end-client of figuring out how to install a macro in MS Word.
