Hi,

> I am using OpenOffice 2.0. Is there a way to open/annotate/adit pdf file while in OpenOffice ?

You can't use OpenOffice.org to open or edit PDFs; just double-click the file
in your file manager to open it.

However, here are a couple notes on useful things related to PDF and editing
PDF, that might be useful for you.

- If you one of the edits you wanted to make to PDFs was to add links, you can do
that in the document. Use the Hyperlink icon on the main toolbar at the top. Then
convert to PDF (File > Export as PDF, or click the PDF icon on the toolbar) and
the links will be retained. This is very useful, for instance, if you create a
hotlinked table of contents; the links are retained in the PDF. I have a blog
covering this in more detail.

- You can use the Web wizard to convert multiple documents at once to PDF. Just choose File > Wizard > Web, select the OpenOffice.org documents to convert, and for each, select PDF in the dropdown list of the wizard. Ignore the settings for the index.html file layout if you don't care about those, and just convert.

HTH,

Solveig
