Hi Betty,

I'm currently looking at adding barcodes to a database project using OOo
(forms, label printing etc). I understand that all I need are
appropriate barcode fonts, and these can easily be installed so that OOo
can use them. I'm about to test it, so I haven't confirmed anything yet.

There are lots of free barcode font sets on the web of various quality.
There are also commercial font sets. E.g.: Take a look at this tutorial
on installing barcode fonts for OpenOffice/StarOffice:
