I already browsed the forum and sought for similar experiences.
A solution there was to make sure Java is properly installed plus the jmf-mp3
plugin for JMF.
I grabbed the latest JMF, plus the mp3 plugin and installed them accordingly.
However, still I could not insert an audio file in my Slide Presentation.
So I tried inserting a WAV file, but still I receive the same error message:
"The format of the selected file is unsupported."
I am running OOo2.0.1 in Slackware Linux. Since I am running OOo from a laptop
with limited resources, I just chose the RPMs to install: all of the core,
writer, impress, xsltfilter, javafilter, graphicfilter, and spell check.
I have mpg321 and if I can somehow invoke it when a certain slide is hit, that
would be well. As it is right now, I have to exit the presentation, play the
mp3 file, then go back to the presentation. Kinda bumpy.
Any ideas?
