I specify a table (which is a really a view). I have tried to paste the SQL 
but it didn't work. I have looked a bit more into it and it's the ODBC driver 
where the error message comes from in both cases, so I guess I'll have to 
forget about it because it's Microsoft who provides that driver.

Yes, I read the MDB file through ODBC.
I'm not using forms because it's a Writer document, but thanks anyway.
