Yes, I have done uninstall/re-install several times with no better result. I have Firefox installed with no problems.

I also have had this program on different 98 machines. I do not
remember this as a problem.

The only time I have seen this was a beta installation of FireFox. I
never did figure out what the problem was there?

Have you tried an uninstall/reinstall?

I am sorry to e-mail you direct but I have tried every other method

On installing OpenOffice 2 in my Windows98 SE computer and opening any

of
the applications, the taskbars at the top of the window seem to
overlap.
If I click on any of the drop down menus, e.g.'File' the area goes
dark as
do every one of the drop down menus on this taskbar. Behind this

there seems to be another one.

What am I doing wrong?

Not certain you are doing anything wrong. Also I have no w98 box with
which to test and haven't for more than 5 years. I will suggest that
you try updating the driver for your video card as I have seen this
kind of thing happen with my system.

Since I have no idea really, I am copying users so the w98 volunteers
can have a go.

I have this installed on about 30 machines with Win98SE and don't have
any problems. I would look at the hardware as well. This doesn't seem
like a OOo issue.
