[users] Not able to load file from network using Open Office

I have a 4 computer network: 3 Win98 and Linspire. All are running OO 
2.0. The Linspire computer has been designated as the "server", acting 
as the backup and holding all my files.
I can load those files from the Linspire machine to any of the other 
using Word, Excel, Notepad, Firefox (pictures), etc., but not using any 
of OO programs. Message comes up telling me that "... file does not exist".

What is the issue? Suggestions?
