OOo-2.0.1 (I think), linux.

This is something I hadn't tried before, and I discovered a couple of
things. On bringing up the device selector and exersizeing the create
preview buttom, 3 things:

1: only the first 'make preview' actually works, any repeats seem to
load a blank image.

2: Regardless of the device selected in the multi-selector drop down,
the device actually accessed is my usb scanner, an epson 1250u.
I do have several other srcs, v4l style available, but selecting one of
them still exersizes the scanner, as opposed to capturing an image from
my tv card or firewire movie camera/whatever else may be plugged in.

3: While one can with some fiddly stuff actions, manage to enter other
than the default resolution choices of 50 or 2400 dpi, values in
between don't appear to work as they also load blank images. 300 and
600 are very much in demand here, so I'd have to run xsane, save it to
a file and load that to get it in 300dpi or 600dpi resolution. 50 dpi
is really really course IMO. And I didn't succeed in getting it to
load a 2400x image. The scanner went through its routine, but no image
resulted. It would have been about a gigabyte at that resolution
anyway.

So while 2.0.1 seems stable, this particular function appears to need
aditional work.

People having trouble with vz bouncing email to me should add the word
'online' between the 'verizon', and the dot which bypasses vz's
stupid bounce rules. I do use spamassassin too. :-)
