This seems like a dumb question, but I've checked the help and looked on
Google and asked on #openoffice.org and I can't find the answer. In Calc,
how can I give an entire column the same (relative) formula? Isn't there a
better way than dragging down to the very bottom of the (seemingly endless)
spreadsheet?
I have a simple spreadsheet to keep track of car mileage and gas usage,
prices, etc. I'd like to not have to copy three columns' formulas every
time I enter data in the next row. I must be missing something really
obvious, but I have looked and looked, and I can't find it!
It's relatively easy to select an entire column. With your cursor in
cell A1, press Shift+Ctrl+[down arrow]. Then you can enter an array
formula. Look in Help under the index term "array" for the details.
