This seems like a dumb question, but I've checked the help and looked on
Google and asked on #openoffice.org and I can't find the answer. In Calc,
how can I give an entire column the same (relative) formula? Isn't there a
better way than dragging down to the very bottom of the (seemingly endless)
spreadsheet?
double-click the bottom right corner of the cell (a little square handle
may appear there). It will copy the formula downward *as long as* that
the left-hand column does not have a gap (meaning, a blank cell).
