Can you help?
I have a dial-up connection that is pretty slow and unreliable, but
can't afford to get broadband at the moment, and I rather doubt that
I could successfully download it successfully!
I read the other day that for a small charge it is possible to obtain
a copy of OpenOffice on CD, as opposed to downloading it.
Best wishes
Phil
Find a distributor that's near to you from this list:
http://distribution.openoffice.org/cdrom/
If you're in the States I can recommend Flexiety. I met the guy who is
responsible for it on the OOoConference in Berlin and he is a nice
chap, who takes things seriously. If you're in Europe/Belgium I can
send you a CD.

Another option would be to download one of the many download utilities
that will allow your download to be resumed should your connection be
broken. You should be able to download it overnight with no problem.
You might try these two download utilities:
http://www.stardownloader.com/ <--- This is the one I use.
http://www.igetter.net/ <--- I've heard good things about this one.
