I want to create a merge document using data that I have in a Calc spreadsheet. I know that to do this I need to create a database with the spreadsheet as a datasource. I cannot seem to do this. I can create a new Base database and register it, but when I go into edit->database all options are grayed out. I need some way of associating this database with the spreadsheet. I have read that it is necessary to not be in "Design View" and that there should be an icon I can click to get out of Design View, but there is no such icon. The latest users manual only describes how to export a data source in OO 1.x.
