Yes, OOo (OpenOffice.org) has a programming language called Star Basic
(also known as OOBasic) that is similar to VBA, which provides most of
the functionality found in VBA. However, it is not identical so macros
etc. do need to be rewritten when converting from Excel. To help with
the conversion, see

VB to OOBasic cross-reference and the Macros section.

If you have OOo installed read "Help -> Contents -> Macros &
Programming"
