Yes, OOo (OpenOffice.org) has a programming language called Star Basic (also known as OOBasic) that is similar to VBA, which provides most of the functionality found in VBA. However, it is not identical so macros etc. do need to be rewritten when converting from Excel. To help with the conversion, see http://documentation.openoffice.org/HOW_TO/index.html particularly, the VB to OOBasic cross-reference and the Macros section. If you have OOo installed read "Help -> Contents -> Macros & Programming" or check out: http://api.openoffice.org/TipsAndTricks/external.html very useful info & examples can be found here: http://www.pitonyak.org/oo.php Hope this helps.
