I had no luck when I opened Calc and then tried
File >Open >C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Excel.exe
That is not possible. I think he meant something quite different:
Instead of opening your Excel spreadsheet in Excel and then tryint to copy
and paste to OOo Calc, try to open your Excel spreadsheet directly in OOo
Calc. Just open OOo Calc, then File - Open - <Your search path to the
Excel spreadsheet>\<Filename>.xls - OK.
