It's almost like a second OS just for OOo (and a few other programs) Think of it kinda like the old "Classic" mode. You have to install the fonts to X11 if you want to use them in OOo. I'm not sure how to do that though. I just use NeoOffice. http://www.neooffice.org/ - it's much easier. And they release patches, which you can sign up to be notified by email when a new version is available. It doesn't work on Intel Macs yet though. They should get that fixedin a month or 2.
