That would be great! Good idea CPH! Have you filed an IZ enhancement
request yet? ;-)
I really pity the developers now. My guess is they would just ignore IZ
as it would be flooded with rubbish. May reality prevail... please
folks.
Projects like OOo and Mozilla really challenge the open-source
development model. This isn't like the "good old days"; this is open
source for the masses. Consequently, the old models don't necessarily work.
What's needed in a case like this is a triage stage. A mechanism that's
open for anybody to submit bugs (perceived or real), suggestions, etc.,
but that doesn't fall directly into the standard issue system.
There are quite a few people, I reckon, with the required knowledge to
filter, categorize, and sanity-check these submissions without consuming
valuable developer resources.
