I really do not think that sarcasm is necessarily needed.

This issue is rife with problems.

On one hand you have the busy real world users of the product. They
know what they are doing. The do their reports and go on to something
else. They know what system they are using, they know how to
troubleshoot programs and they will read the instructions and manuals
first before reporting a bug.

On the other hand, you have the first time users, the casual users, the
impatient "I know everything" users. These will be the ones that cause
problems. How many times does the forum receive the message "Open
Office changed all of my files into Open Office files and they will not
open with Microsoft Office"? A lot of casual users either cannot find
the instructions and manuals or they will not bother reading them. These
will be as likely to report a bug as to email the forum.

Please, I do not mean to denigrate anyone, just giving an opinion. Just
this week I had someone tell me that "I will not get a virus on my
computer from downloading. I bought a version of Kazaa that will keep
me from getting a virus". When asked, they paid $30/yr to "keep from
getting a virus" while downloading.
