JRE is Java Runtime Environment. If you are going to use the database
of slide show modules of OpenOffice.org (OOo), you will also need JRE. All
of the wizards also require JRE. My advice to is that for your operating
system (OS) you select Windows (bundled with JRE). What this means is that
your OS is a version of Windows (98SE, Millineum, 2000, or XP) and the
file you download contains both OOo and JRE.
