Dear Users,

I have been trying to change the appearance of an hyperlink in Calc.
The online guide suggests to modify the hyperlink style, however this
style is not in the stylist list.

Modify the style. Check your Character styles. I have one called
Internet Link and so should you.

That reminds me of a question I meant to ask. In amongst the interminable RC vs. styles debate I was playing with character styles in a test document (just to make sure I truly understood what was going on in various scenarios).

I noticed that if I have automatic URL recognition turned on and I enter a url like http://something.com then the appearance will correctly change to blue, single underline. This corresponds to the settings in the Internet Link Character style.

*However*, if I use the arrow keys to move the cursor into the hyperlink with the Stylist window open to character styles, the highlighted character style doesn't change. It stays on Default. There's no indication (other than the appearance of the link) that a style other than default has been applied.

So my question is: Is the appearance of the hyperlink changed by automatically applying the Internet Link style, or by automatically applying direct formatting equivalent to the style? I sort of assume the former because if I modify the Internet Link style it is immediately reflected in the appearance of the link.

But it gets weirder; if I have the cursor *outside* the link, right click on the Internet Link character style to modify it, then when I move the cursor around with the arrow keys, or click somewhere else in the document, the Internet Link character style remains highlighted. But I just noticed that if you wait long enough, for an automatic pseudo-save (or whatever you want to call it) to take place, then the highlighting will jump to the correct character style.

Is this a bug?
