using OO.o 2.0 beta.
I have an address table (OO write) I'd like to merge the street name
and house number columns. When I mark the 2 columns and click "merge
cells" ALL cells in the 2 columns merge. what I'd like to to is to
merge the 2 adjacent cells "street name" and "house number" in every
row. Is this possible at all?
Thanks for your help.

yes, this is exactly what I want. Is it possible?
Yes. I would look up help on concatenation. I do it lots in the
spreadsheet section (Calc), but I think you could do it also in Writer.
In the user's guide, it only mentioned calc, so you might have to copy
your table to calc, do the concatenate and then copy it back to writer.
