Are you talking about line numbering our outline numbering?
Skipping hidden lines in line numbering works, when you uncheck 'empty
lines' (or so *).
*) I've the Dutch version. See Tools|Line numbering, section Count
(bottom-right, first check box).
Skipping hidden lines in outline numbering, I don't know.
