Downloaded three times. Latest was OOo.2.0.2 win32intell install.exe.
The
unpack never finishes and just quits after 3.cab. This is windoze XP
with
more security patches than one could count.
It's possible that your virus checked is corrupting the download. If you
can temporarily disable the virus checker, and verify the integrity of
the
downloaded file using the MD5SUM utility to verify the downloaded file.

DWB:
I'm sorry you have gotten frustrated. I hope you haven't given up.
If you still are having problems and want to try here is what I think
you should do:
1. Check the integrity of the file you have downloaded. Get a program
that can do MD5SUMS: instructions here:
http://www.openoffice.org/dev_docs/using_md5sums.html
Once you get the MD5SUM for the file you downloaded, check your file
against this list: http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.2/md5sums.html
(you can just look at the first 3 digits and the last 3 to see if they
are the same)
** If they don't match, the download is corrupt, and you'll have to
download again (delete the corrupted file first) and check the MD5 again
until you get a match.**
2. Once you have a verified download, double click the exe and run
through the installer.
** If you have problems at this stage, send us an email saying your OS
version, the error, and that you did an MD5SUM on the download. **
Hope this helps!
