I'm not sure if this is the appropriate place for feature requests, but...
1. If it's possible, I'd like to suggest OOo provide the ability to handle non-standard characters in field names for the purposes of inserting and mail merges. At least one popular program (Filemaker Pro) allows developers to include a range of characters in field names that wouldn't be OK elsewhere. And those cause certain mail merge functions to choke.
2. I'd like to see a much simpler method of suppressing blank lines in mail merges. M$ Word uses a simple checkbox in the merge routine to do this. It's so basic a function it should be simple and intuitive, not abstruse and logically based.
Otherwise, kudos to any and all of you developers out there. You're doing a great job and I'd offer to propose the change myself if I knew how.
