Is it different on screen, or only when printing? If when printing, then check the settings in the OOo Printer Administration application (on Linux). Particularly check that the printer page format and margins are reasonable. These should match your printer capabilities, not your document settings. I'm not sure why this tool is needed these days, except maybe for font substitutions.
