I take it by the use of Ghostscript that you're running Linux?

If so you may need to configure the printer with very small margins.   I've 
seen OOo not print something if it appears that part of it would overstep a 
print margin, (note: not a page margin, but the print margin).  

In other words if your printer definition says that you have a .4" margin top, 
and both sides, and a .6" margin on bottom, whatever crosses those borders 
may not print at all.
(I say may, because sometimes it will).
