Have you tried the context-menu (right clicking)?
Or select the new range, and drag and drop to the chart?

Try this:
1.  Double Click outside the graph to totally remove the focus from any part of the graph.
2.  Click on the graph ONLY ONCE to put the focus on the graph as a whole.
3.  RIGHT CLICK and the context menu will permit you to select the range. 
4.  Edit the range to get what you want.
