I get my own messages. I do not understand
why you do not get your own.

mentioned OpenOffice. Every time it was the same thing: after a fresh
install, I would go for Format -> Character, and OOo would crash.
I am hoping that someone can make a connection between the two crash
situations; what does the Font tab in Format -> Character and the
Changes page in Tools -> Options -> OpenOffice.org Writer have in
common?
I've also had a look around the bug tracker; I found one issue where
the reporter complained about being unable to change fonts in the
Format -> Character -> Font tab. I want to make it clear that this is
not what is happening here; OOo crashes the moment I open the Format
-> Character dialog. I don't even have the time to attempt to change a
font. Changing fonts works fine with the select box in the main
interface.
