While you cannot legally download Powerpoint without paying Microsoft lots of money, you can download the OOo (OpenOffice.org) office suite, that includes a presentation component called Impress. With Impress your son can create presentations in much the same way as he would with Powerpoint. OOo can open and save files in Powerpoint file format. > My son has a project due on Monday and his friend gave him this site > to acess Power Point. I think what your son's friend meant was that you can download software equivalent to Powerpoint, > We were not able to get this. Can you tell me how we can download > this so he can finish this project. > > Thank you, > Sue Cahill When you go to the OOo website look for "Impress" not "Powerpoint". Check out the following links: Basic information about Impress: http://www.openoffice.org/product/impress.html Lots of support and documentation about OOo: http://support.openoffice.org/index.html Download OOo from: http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.2/index.html Because OOo is not a group of separate programs (eg. MS Office) you have to download the complete OOo suite. You cannot just download just the Impress presentation component. Hope this helps.
