Could you send me your favorite templates. I would like to include it in OpenOffice.org Premium...

Couldn't resist the Aladdin paraphrase.

I am migrating from OOo 1.1.5 to 2.0.2 on Linux.

I have a small bunch of templates for 1.1.5 that I use regularly.

Here's what I did to make things work together:

Created a directory $HOME/OOo-Templates (because I don't like the long default location OOo uses and I only use one language.)
Created $HOME/OOo-Templates/OOo_1 and moved all stw template files there.

Set the templates paths in Tools->Options->Paths in OOo 1.1.5 to include $HOME/OOo-Templates/OOo_1 Set the templates paths in Tools->Options->Paths in OOo 2.0.2 to include $HOME/OOo-Templates

When I use 1.1.5, all I can see are the 1.x templates and when I use 2.0.2, I start out with "My Default" containing all the 2.x templates, but I also see the OOo_1 subdirectory and can access all of the 1.x templates as well.

This way, as I update all of my templates to ott's of the same name, everything will stay organized and there will be no confusion about which template version I am using.

I have not seen anything written about template subdirectories. I just tried it and it worked. Another example of OOo programmers getting it right!

I haven't tried it, but the same approach should work in M$ Windows.
