Hello,
I am using Openoffice writer version 2.0. I am trying to make an
outlined list that starts at 2 ( and 3 and 4) instead of 1. For example,
this is what I am trying to do:
3 Measured Results
3.1 Test Set-up
3.1.1 dsfgdfgdfg
3.1.2 sdfsdf
3.2 Feed Measurements
3.3 Ssdfsdfsdfsd
3.3.1 sdfsdfs
3.3.2 sdfsdfsd
3.4 sdfsdfsdf
You get the idea? I am using headings that are linked to numbering
formats. The number format is set to start at 3, in this case, and it
results in the following:
3.3
3.3.3
3.3.4
3.4
3.5
What am I doing wrong?? Attached is a sample file with my formating set-up.
Works fine for me. The list strips off attachments, so I can't
look at your sample file, but here is how I have set it up in
Tools > Outline Numbering:
For Level 1, paragraph style Heading 1 (or whatever you are
using), Number 1,2,3, and Start at 3.
For Level 2, paragraph style Heading 2 (or whatever), Number
1,2,3, Show sublevels 2, Start at 1.
For Level 3, paragraph style Heading 3, Number 1,2,3, Show
sublevels 3, Start at 1.
DO NOT attempt to combine this with any other form of paragraph
numbering, for example on the Numbering tab of the Paragraph
Style dialog.
