I'd like to insert a table into Impress, the same way one inserts a table into Writer. That is - a plain old table with rows and columns. Impress lets me insert a table which has a data source connection, or via the same icon as Writer a spreadsheet, but I don't see a way to add an ordinary table.

If I copy and paste a table from Writer, the last row is half cut off. In other words, say I have a table of 3 columns and 5 rows that I created in Writer. After the paste into Impress, I see 3 columns and 4 and a half rows - the bottom half of the last row is missing. Resizing the object in Impress just stretches the table - it doesn't reveal the missing section.

I'm using OpenOffice 2.0.2, BTW.

Any ideas on how I can insert a table into Impress that doesn't need a spreadsheet or database behind it, and looks correct, would be appreciated. Thanks!

C.
