Yes, there is a way to do this. Create a frame in Writer with the text
and picture. It might help to anchor the picture as a character. This
makes it easier to set the spacing around the picture. Also set the wrap
for the picture as Page Wrap. Then copy the entire frame onto a slide.
Finally, you will have to double click the frame on the slide to make
adjustments to what is shown within the frame. When you are finished,
click on the slide outside the frame to bring you back to the main Impress
window.
You might need to play around with this for a little while, but it can
be done.
