So . . . We should feel sorry for your inconvenience of having to use something free, or should we just call the whaaambulance to rescue you? Slamming the program like this is usually a good way to get ignored. *NIX OSes have a good device for these kinds of messages /dev/null. > Now, I do a lot of word processing documents: > I am using Open Office 2.0 > > > Heres the problem: Towards the few final pages of my document, the program > does not allow me to 'TAB' anymore, when I hit the button it brings me up > to a random point in the document. So, let me get this straight. You "DO" understand the difference between "spacing" and "Line Spacing" correct? (Spacing is the distance that separates two paragraphs, Line Spacing is the distance that separates lines within a paragraph). As I understand it you are able to use the Tab key to space over, say to the right to exactly 2.5", at the beginning of a document, but say 90 pages later you get random positions on the page when you do this. My question then, if the above is correct, is do you have explicitly defined tab stops? Or, are you depending on the default of every half inch or so? I'm also thinking that you are able to get the spacing you want (double spacing in the paragraph with the appearance of a double space between paragraphs) near the beginning, but it doesn't work at the end? If both of my ideas above are near correct, I would also wonder about the speed and amount of RAM your computer has. > I am wondering if these problems are due to the amount of pages in the > document (95 pages.) Sorry for the initial sarcasm, its just beginning to wear on a lot of folks nerves that people like you and me get upset because feature A isn't doing what they expect and just start blasting the program as crap instead of cooling off and asking if its a PEBCAK or ID10T issue on their part. Remember the application is free, while that doesn't help your frustration, it should help your requests for help. -- See Ya' Howard Coles Jr. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
