Hello Peter,

If you don't have AbiWord anymore, you can use the FREE version of EditPad (EditPad Lite) which has the function you need, as well as others, such as tabs(like in Firefox, or Mozilla, but with Plain Text documents instead of Webpages) so you can have a lot of text documents open in the same Window. You can find it here: http://www.editpadlite.com/editpadlite.html It is like a SUPER DUPER Notepad and doesn't use up your Resources, either.

In OOo, I copy the text I want to change case on, then Paste it into EditPad Lite, Highlight it and click Convert, then Highlight it, Copy it out of EditPad and paste it back into OOo. Sure, it's an extra step, but it gets around this particular "feature" -or- "shortcoming"; whatever you want to call it! In addition to simply inverting case, you can change to *UPPER* *CASE*, and to _lower_case_ or You Can Change It To Initial Caps(Or Title Case.)

I hope this helps you or someone else who may not even know what AbiWord is, much less where to get it.

Happy CASE-changING!

TessTah

I am using version 2.0 of OpenOffice.org. Can you introduce, under Format>Case change, a toggle change, as Abiword has, so that for example, oPENoFFICE.ORG can easily be changed to OpenOffice.org? I would find it a great help. Otherwise I'm pleased with OO.o.
