when I use a WP I intend to print & send not send email.
How can I turn off the different color & under line on an email address
in a list of addresses; I couldn't find one address because it obscured
the underscore in the address. In other words, be just PLAIN text!
Seems to me a WP should be plain vanilla & let one ADD one's desire,
rather than have to hunt & delete the mostly default crap. I end up
using Scribus for any letters with pix because one can't just put a pix
where one wants it.
Select *Tools > Autocorrect*, then select *Options *tab. Uncheck the
boxes for *URL Recognition*. That should do it for anything new you
type. (But it won't change what has already been typed and shows up as a
link.)
To remove links that are already there (on addresses you've typed
already), select the e-mail address, then select *Format > Character*.
Click the *Hyperlink *tab. Delete what's in the *URL *field. Then under
*Character Styles*, set both *Visited Links* and *Unvisited Links* to
*User Entry*.
If you have a lot of e-mail addresses, I believe you can select all of
the text in the document (*Ctrl+A*), the go to *Format > Character*, and
under *Character Styles*, set both *Visited Links* and *Unvisited Links*
to *User Entry*. I tried it with a simple test document and it was
successful in removing the link, but I can't be sure it won't cause some
other formatting issues. I don't think it will though.
