it worked only after I transferred directly from MSWord to odg.
I grouped the autoshapes drawing in MSWord, then ctrl-C and ctrl-V in odg.
odt to odg didnt work.

6) I find that the frame gets copied across, but the shapes are very small.
The text in the labels are not copied across.

You are aware that MSO neither groups automatically nor anchors
properly? Nenetheless, if you do group using MSO, OOo very happily
handles the grouped object and recognizes the anchor. So you may find
you have to rebuild the object in OOo piece by piece.
