Could you be more specific about what you're trying to do? What do you mean by "unique page numbers and chapter headings"? I've never had to do anything fancy with page numbers in my relatively straight-forward documents, but if I knew exactly what you were trying to do, I'd spend some time playing with it to see if I could make it work. We'll see if we can lick this thing, or if it's one of the things that just can't be done in a master document. But first I need to understand better what you are trying to do. I like master documents and use them all the time to manage multichapter books. But they have limitations, sometimes annoying ones.
