People,

I have a number of servers running RHEL4 and a number of network
printers for each server - I set up the network printers the same way on
all servers:

- Queue Type: Networked UNIX (LPD)

- Server: printer_name, Queue: /

- Printer Driver: Apple LaserWriter IINTX

When I look at the printers from OO2, on each of the servers except ONE
I see:

        Type: CUPS:printer_name

but on one server I see:

        Type: SGENPRT

for all its printers.

On this server, after I change the PPD (/etc/cups/ppd/printer_name) to
allow for more than one tray (I use the Lexmark 614 PPD) and restart
cups - I still don't get the extra tray . . (this process works on the
other servers).

Why does this server insist on creating a printer of type SGENPRT? How
do I change it so that it works like the others?

Thanks,

Phil.
