There is a full Spanish version, go to http://es.openoffice.org/programa/ , but it might be annoying having both installed. I've managed to add spell-check, hyphenation and thesaurus in French to my British English installation. If you're using Windows you can go to File, Wizards, Install new dictionaries, which starts a program to install new dictionaries that it finds on the internet, or that you've downloaded. This worked for me using OOo 2.0.2, but it did have trouble finding them online for some reason when I was using OOo 2.0. There's an automatic installer you can get for GNU/Linux, but I managed to easily insert the downloaded dictionary files manually from the instructions given.

I word process in both English and Spanish. I need Open Office to work in both. My keyboard is configured to type all the charracters in Open Office but cannot spell check? I have done all the things on your site, language modules etc etc. Is there a full spanish version of Open Office so I can run both an English and a Spanish Version?
