[users] Minus sign in Formula OOo-2.0.2

Hi all

  I am using OpenOffice.org 2.0.2 that shipped with Fedora Core 5. I am 
unable to observe the minus sign in the formula. I type up the formula 
and I observe a square in place of the minus sign.

  I found a workaround: using "-" instead of simply -

  But this gives me the short dash instead of the slightly longer minus 
sign.

  Does anyone know of a fix to this?
