Dan, Whew!
After your hint that I missed something, I searched through the AutoCorrect submenu for autoinput (nope, not there), I then searched through all the selections in the Options submenu that seemed relevant (nope, not there either), then I looked through all the primary menus (nope, not there with that name), and finally, did a search for the term "autoinput" in the help menu and it finally told me it's in Tools-Cell Contents (at last!). When it differs only slightly from the same function in word processing, I wonder why for consistency's sake it was put outside the Autocorrect submenu (unless it was an Excel look-alike thing -- and one of the things I hate about Microsoft's products is their sometimes illogical placement of functions within their menus, and I hate to think OpenOffice followed their lead!). Perhaps it would have been better if it had a "mirror" in the autocorrect submenu for consistency with word processing and then it could have been also placed in Cell Contents for those familiar with that approach (enough editorializing!). Thanks, Dan. That did it! Ron Keller PS: Patience is a virtue that is seldom found when one has lost a LOT of time and has become frustrated, and that's the state most matching my lot when I missed your hint! Besides, it's VERY difficult to be both patient and frustrated simultaneously! Thanks for following through! > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "G.
