The release you are using has known issues and is so out-of-date that
support will be iffy.

Have you tried using the Repair facility by running setup?

My recommendation is that you upgrade immediately. The current release
is 2.0.2 with 2.0.3 imminent. If you must, the last 1.1.x release is
1.1.5. Both are available for download from http://www.openoffice.org/
