[users] [moderated] Default Bullet Style

The default bullet style in Writer is an acquired taste I have not 
acquired. I have tried changing my default template and altering the 
List styles - but still I get the same, very big, fuzzy bullets. I have 
been through FAQ and help screens but cannot find a way to change the 
default bullet that works. 

How can I replace the default bullet style that appears when I click the 
'bullets on/off' toggle in the formatting tool bar?
